UTA expanding to Gotham

UTA will open a Gotham office this fall, to be staffed with a combination of agents from Los Angeles as well as several new hires. Nancy Gates, co-head of TV Talent at the tenpercentary, will be the first L.A.-based agent to make the move back East. She'll be joined by alternative TV agent Alison Wallach and talent agent Steven Fisher. Agency signed a lease in the 888 Seventh Ave. building near 7th St., which is under renovation. Office opens in November. Plans are to expand UTA's existing theatre, digital media and corporate consulting practices into Gotham, in addition to its film and TV business there.
