Ninja/Samurai movie - 80s or 90s?

Hi guys, there's a 80s/90s martial arts movie stuck in my head. I
believe it was a ninja vs samurai movie. The main scene that stuck in
my head is where I think the samurai are trying to get away from the
bad ninjas. They are running through subway/train cars and each time
they run through the interconnecting doors of the cars. The samurai
stabs his sword into the floor right by the door they just passed and
drags/slices across the floor to cut the electrical wires, sparks a
flying, to jam the door. It was a very cool scene to me when I was
young. And i've knocked my head trying to find it and watch again.
